Dr. María Sánchez will be presenting “Too Much, and Yet Never Enough: Voice, Papeles, and Narratives of Undocumented and Deported Persons.”
In this presentation, Dr. Sánchez will discuss her new research into 21st century narratives by deported and undocumented persons, and the ways in which concerns regarding voice, papeles, and the violence of bureaucratic excess connect such narratives to prior literary forms such as the 19th C California testimonios.
