WGS and AADS professor Dr. Sarah Jane Cervenak has been featured in the current issue of Feminist Studies (41.1). Her article, On Not Teaching about Violence: Being in the Classroom After Ferguson, forms part of the journal’s Direct Access Forum, “Teaching About Ferguson.” For the month of April 2015, the forum, including a PDF of Dr. Cervenak’s article, is available for free online. Along with five other professors, she reflects on the pedagogical challenges of teaching about state-sanctioned violence against people of color in the United States.
