SCHEME: A Queer Feminist Leadership Convergence is hosted by the Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Program at UNC Greensboro. The spring 2025 convergence will take place April 3-6th as a free, in-person experience for student activists, scholars, and creatives to co-create a political home rooted in queer, feminist, and anti-racist politics. Attendees will draw from women of color feminist and queer liberatory traditions to build community with each other, learn about past and current advocacy work in the Triad and beyond, grow their leadership skills for engaging in political projects of their own design, and establish coalitional networks to uplift anti-oppressive and just work at their home institutions. Participants will leave the program empowered, connected, and ready to respond to the present moment with creativity and critical hope.
